Gemma Quilty is an emerging documentary filmmaker developing observational documentary film projects from Western Sydney.

She is directing her first feature documentary ‘Clippers’ produced by Tom Zubrycki, recently shortlisted in the Top 8 by SBS for Untold Australia. She is one of the three inaugural recipients of SheDoc – an initiative of Screen NSW, Documentary Australia Foundation and Rode Microphones, to support female NSW-based documentary filmmakers.

Gemma was a winner of Produce Perfect 2016 – the SPA/ICE/SCREEN NSW program for emerging screen producers of Western Sydney. Her short documentary ‘Toy Man’ was shortlisted in Tropfest25. She holds a Bachelor of Visual Communications (Photography & Digital Imaging) from Western Sydney University.
