The Ethics of Documentary Filmmaking

Four filmmakers show clips and reveal the ethical issues raised by their films, exploring the pitfalls and responsibilities. How do you approach the process? Can you predict the effects of a film on the subjects’ lives? What pressures are you under from broadcasters? How do you deal with the unexpected?

Chaired by Rod Freedman, the panel includes Marc Radomsky (Struggle Street and Outback Kids), Jennifer Peedom (Sherpa, Living The End and Solo), Blue Lucine (Forced Out, A Thousand Suns) and Rebecca Barry (I Am A Girl – Aziza’s Story).
