New platforms, different challenges and massive opportunities are opening up for documentary makers. Meet 2 people right at the very forefront of this change In this session, hosted by Ruth Cullen, MIchela Ledwidge and Mish Sparks from Mod Productions will showcase their ground breaking project ACO VIRTUAL which they made in creative collaboration with the Australian Chamber Orchestra. Ever wanted to conduct an orchestra? Surround yourself with 13 sections of an orchestra which you can direct to suit your tastes. ACO VIRTUAL is a world first interactive experience that lets the audience take control and play with musicians in an immersive 360 degree cinema experience. Michela and Mish will take us step by step through the history, the production and the technology, along with the challenges they faced in getting this pioneering project to completion.
Michela Ledwidge – Director
Michela Ledwidge is an award-winning film-maker, artist, entrepreneur and technologist. With several decades of experience in the digital media sector she has been at the forefront of cutting edge developments. Michela is a pioneer in cross-media storytelling influenced by the video game ‘mod’ paradigm and live performance.
Mish Sparks – Director
Mish Sparks has produced and co-produced corporate video, documentary, immersive entertainment, online entertainment and live events for government, private enterprise and arts bodies. She has over twenty years experience leading teams and managing projects, people and budgets.
