Raksha Burman

Since graduating with a Bachelor of Mass Communication & Video Production, I have worked in a variety of roles in the film and television industry for the last 14 years. My passion for story telling was fueled when my university film on child prostitution won many accolades and was selected for the Hamburg film festival in 2002 and since then I have enjoyed working in projects ranging from radio, tv, stage shows, animation & film.

I have been a Committee Member of WOMEN IN FILM & TELEVISION (WIFT, NSW) and was Technical Director of the 16th World of Women Film Festival 2009-2010. In 2010 i worked on George Miller’s Happy Feet 2 as a Motion Editor and enjoyed being a part of the world’s most diverse animation film crew with over 600 artists from across 20 countries all working at Carriageworks in Redfern to bring the Oscar winning franchise back to life.

Currently I am working at SBS within the Sales and Brand partnerships department helping clients align with our rich and diverse content, using multiple platforms whilst speaking to multicultural Australia.
